Shotgun30 goes green. There’s been very little relief from the hot sun at this year’s tailgates. So Shotgun30 partnered up with local Austin, Texas business
Solar Community to take advantage of all that sun. During the Texas vs. Kansas game tailgate on October 29th, Shotgun30 had the first solar powered tailgate. Powered by Solar Community’s solar trailer, the entire tailgate usually powered by generator, went completely green energy. The event even attracted the local news. Check out KVUE’s video

David Reimherr had this to say about the green tailgate, “ Shotgun 30 is excited at the opportunity to host a carbon neutral tailgate right on campus. We will be the only tailgate that does not use a generator to power our tv and stereo system.”
“Bringing solar power to a great venue like a UT tailgate is a great way for the solar industry to showcase an exciting part of Austin’s green economy”, says Andy Hernandez a residential sales expert for Solar Community.
